NASCAR is an American auto racing sanctioning and operating company that is best known for stock car racing. NASCAR, and stock car racing as a whole, traces its roots back to moonshine runners during Prohibition, who grew to compete against each other in a show of pride. NASCAR = National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing.
